Abstract

The shifting in business models by leveraging increasingly big data technology is one of the most crucial shifts in today's modern corporate civilization. In modern business, the focus has shifted from a product to a platform. Changes in business begin in earnest that affect not only other company operators in related industries, but also ecosystems and platforms. Human resources as Full Stack Engineers who can respond to changes in business governance models of all-technology models are required to respond to changes in business with the dimensions of the Internet of Things, big data, Augmented Reality, and Artificial Intelligence. Efforts to develop Full Stack Engineers are necessary since this is a worldwide and national stage for Software Engineers in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0. This is qualitative research, and we conduct it at the Makers Institute Bandung Indonesia, an institution that holds a bootcamp every year to prepare prospective software engineers and designers for free and independently. In this study, we conducted in- depth interviews with the Makers Institute team to find out the hard skills of prospective software engineer graduates from the informatics engineering college and the skills needs of the business world in the real world. The purpose of this research is to establish the hard skills of prospective Software Engineer graduates from an information technology institute of engineering and technology and the skills needs of the business world in the real world. Makers Institute Bandung's experience in managing Full Stack Engineers has revealed that there is a gap between what they learn in college and what is required. There's no actual connection. One of the issues that prospective Software Engineers confront is the lack of a robust model of thinking when it comes to constructing device integration.
