The development of thematic materials based on local wisdom through the media articulate storyline for IV class is to make it easier for teachers to convey material and make it easier for students to receive the material. The material that would be developed is elementary school material for the fourth grade of SD theme 8 (the area where I live) Sub-theme 1 (the environment where I live). Which discusses various kinds of unique living environments, how children can learn about varied artistic creations, diverse personal traits, and diverse mythology from their surroundings.
The objectives of developing this interactive learning media are (1) To describe and analysis the development of thematic material for theme 8 (where I live) sub-theme one (my neighborhood) based on local wisdom through Articulate Storyline media for grade IV SD Baiturrohman Griya Mangli Indah Jember. (2) Describe and analysis the viability of developing Articulate Storyline media for grade IV Baiturrohman Griya Mangli Indah Jember Elementary School's subject 8 (where I live) sub-theme 1 (my neighborhood) based on local wisdom.
This study used a type of research development research model ADDIE there are 5 stages, namely: (a) Analysis (analysis) includes needs analysis, curriculum analysis. (b) Design (design). (c) Development (development). (d) Implementation (implementation). (e) Evaluation (evaluation).
The results of development research can be concluded: The thematic learning media products based on local wisdom meet the validity criteria, with the results of material expert validation 94%, design expert validation 88.55%, linguistic expert validation 88.5%. The results of the trial of the attractiveness of thematic material based on local wisdom through the media Articulate Storyline 85.73%. Based on the t-test with the paired sample t-test that has been carried out using the SPSS 17 application. The results of the effectiveness trials conducted before and after using thematic materials based on local wisdom through articulate storyline media are different. The pretest got an average of 67.33 and the posttest got an average of 87.33. The results of the t test in this study obtained data t arithmetic > t table (11,201 > 2,093), based on the results of field trials, it can be concluded that thematic learning materials based on local wisdom through articulate storyline media are effective in learning.
