Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity and response of students to e-books (flipbook makers) integrated science of energy material in the life system for VII grade students of SMP. This research was conducted in SMPN 6 Jember of grade VII SMP that consist of 32 students. This type of research using research and development model 4-D that adapted from Thiagarajan. Consists of several stage such as: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating, but this research only reached to the development stage. At the stage of development the activities of validation involves five validators for assessing the validity of the material, media and test product to know student response of product,
carried out twice, namely testing a small group of products of 6 students and testing a large group of products of 32 students. The results of the validation of the material and media validator obtained very valid criteria with the percentage of material validator 85.74% and 88.04% media validator. The results of testing the response of students of small and large groups obtained very interesting criteria / strongly agree with the percentage score for small groups of 90.44% and large groups of 91.046%. Teaching material in the form of an integrated science e-book (flipbook maker) of energy material in the life system for VII grade students of SMP can be used in learning.
