Abstract

In tertiary level of education, the English needed by the learners are not merely the basic grammar anymore. University learners, especially those learning in non-English departments, should learn English based on their output requirements. However, in many universities, the English course taught is still focusing on General English. Therefore, this paper is written to give insights to the learners, lecturers and the educational institutions on implementing English for Specific Purposes or ESP according to the theories.
