The development of Quizizz-based learning evaluation for Science and Social Studies aims to facilitate teachers in assessing student learning without the need for manual grading. This evaluation development will increase student motivation and academic performance during learning. The objectives of developing this learning evaluation are: (1) To describe the validation of Quizizz-based learning evaluation for fifth-grade students at SDN Karanganyar 01 Jember. (2) To describe the effectiveness of using Quizizz-based learning evaluation in enhancing motivation and academic performance of fifth-grade students at SDN Karanganyar 01 Jember.
This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) model by Borg and Gall, which involves ten steps: (1) research and data collection, (2) planning, (3) developing the product draft, (4) initial field testing, (5) revising test results, (6) field testing, (7) refining the product based on field test results, (8) final field testing, (9) final product refinement, (10) dissemination and implementation.
The research development results can be summarized as follows: The evaluation product for IPAS (Integrated Science) learning based on Quizizz meets the validity criteria, with material expert validity at 89%, media expert validation at 87%, and language expert validation at 91%. The item validity test results show that 6 items are invalid and 14 items are valid. The reliability result is 0.934. The difficulty level of the questions includes 4 moderate and 16 easy questions. The discrimination index test results show 4 poor items, 2 fair items, 1 sufficient item, 8 good items, and 6 excellent items. The field trial results for measuring student motivation using a motivation questionnaire indicate an increase from 64 to 90 after using Quizizz. Additionally, the average score for learning achievement before using Quizizz was 68, which increased to an average score of 95 after using Quizizz.
