Students had problems in speaking especially vocabulary because the teacher didn’t give better improvement in teach English conversation classes. Therefore, the researcher decided to apply miming method to improve students' speaking skills.
The research question of this research was; How is the implementation of miming method to improve student’s speaking skills of eighth grade at SMP Al Ikhlash?. The goal of this research was; To describe how the miming method improve student’s speaking skills of eighth grade at SMP Al Ikhlash
This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) consist of four stages, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The participant used 20 students in eight grades at SMP Al Ikhlash. To collect the data, the researcher used the students‟ The speaking test uses a scoring rubric consisting of pronunciation, vocabulary, fluency, and content.
Based on the pretest student achieved there were 4 or 20 % students had achieved, the KKM (70). Meanwhile the result of posttest shows that there 15 students, or 75% of student pass or achieve the KKM after conducting miming method in teaching and learning process. In addition, the student and teacher response of the implementation was very good. It can be proved by the student and teacher statement, who mention that teaching using miming method make student happy, enthusiasm, and interested in learning English
