Abstract

Waqf provides great benefits for the whole community if it can be managed properly.
However, waqf practices that occur in people's lives have not fully run in an orderly and
efficient manner, causing various cases of waqf land in the community. Implementation of
waqf land registration It is very much needed in order to provide legal certainty guarantees
and the waqf can run productively. Data from the Ministry of Religion of Ponorogo as of
August 2021, it was recorded that 1,247 ha were certified, and 3985 ha had not been certified
or around 76.19% had not been certified. Then from the Ministry of Religion in Jember until
August 2021 it was recorded, 278 Ha had been certified and 1978 Ha had been certified not
certified or recorded 88% not certified. Overall in Indonesia the latest data until 2021, there are about 56% of waqf land in Indonesia yet sertified waqf. This shows the role of the head
of the District Office of Religious Affairs as a The Waqf Pledge Deed Official (PPAIW) is
important in the implementation Waqf Land Certification to prevent land disputes in the
future. So can explain the problem, namely how the role of the head of KUA as PPAIW in
the certification of waqf land administration? And how are the policies taken? by KUA to
increase public awareness. How to manage waqf certificates? The purpose of this research
is to find out the role of the Office of Religion (KUA) in encouraging the community to
increase legal awareness on the importance of waqf certificates, so as to prevent disputes
from occurring waqf land and the use of waqf land is more productive. This research uses a
normative juridical approach and related theories. Specification The research used in this
research is descriptive analytical.
