Education serves as the primary foundation for safeguarding the future generation of the nation. Therefore, the success of educational processes is a critical measure of this generation's achievements. The ability to compete globally with other developing countries relies on competencies and accomplishments. Digital literacy has become a crucial aspect of recent educational developments in Indonesia, requiring teachers to be adaptive. In response to this need, MI Darussalam 02 Puger, Jember, has developed Indonesian language teaching materials integrated with Islamic values using Book Creator.
The objectives of this research are: 1) To produce Indonesian language teaching materials for Grade VI at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darussalam 02, Puger, Jember, integrated with Islamic values and supported by Book Creator. 2) To test the effectiveness and feasibility of these teaching materials.
This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) model by Borg and Gall, which comprises 10 steps, but only 8 steps were utilized in this study: 1) Research and data collection, 2) Planning, 3) Development of a draft product, 4) Initial field testing, 5) Revising test results, 6) Field testing, 7) Product refinement based on field test results, 8) Field implementation testing, 9) final product refinement, and 10) dissemination and implementation. The testing technique involved comparing the pre-test and post-test scores of 27 students. Data were analyzed using the t-test and processed with SPSS to determine the effectiveness of the teaching materials.
The expert validation results showed an average score of 93.33%, with material validation at 90%, language validation at 98%, and design validation at 92%. Field test data analysis revealed that the post-test average score for Group A was 71.42%, while Group B's average score was 23.07%, indicating a learning outcome difference of 13.19% between the two groups. The post-test analysis for Group A showed a sig. (2-tailed) of .013 < 0.05 and t-value > t-table (2.895 > 2.160). For Group B, the post-test analysis showed a sig. (2-tailed) of .018 < 0.05 and t-value > t-table (2.739 > 2.178). Thus, the Indonesian language teaching materials integrated with Islamic values using Book Creator are effective for use.
