Abstract

In Faculty of Da'wah, especially in Islamic Community Development Program of study, the students' engagement is really low during English classes. This is because they were not motivated in learning English specially in grammar class. Therefore, a modified Team-Game-Tournament technique proposed by Slavin was implemented to boost the students' classroom engagement. After several times of TGT implementation, an improvement on the students' engagement could be perceived in the class.
