Curriculum refers to an educational plan that includes an academic institution's structure, materials, and learning methods. In Islam, the appropriate curriculum teaches students religious teachings and virtues, which is significantly correlated with the curriculum in the dormitory. Therefore, the existence of a dormitory curriculum, which is a combination of the curriculum from the Ministry of Education and the religious curriculum, is urgently needed in the teaching and learning activities of madrasah institutions today because a curriculum that meets learning needs is an indicator that ensures the effectiveness of the use of the curriculum in teaching and learning activities.
This study's question is whether the dormitory curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Jember runs effectively.
To identify this study, the researcher used a quantitative method with an experimental model of Statistical group comparison or Post-Test only with Nonequivalent groups, along with the analysis of the Mann-Whitney test as a substitute for the independent t-test area, which is non-parametric data.
The results obtained by the researcher in this study show that the dormitory curriculum run by Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Jember is significantly effective. This is proven based on the results of the Mann-Whitney test obtained by a Z count of -7.714 with a significance value of 0.001. This effectiveness is also supported by the deputy head of the dormitory curriculum, who is responsible for education in the dormitory. There are also character development and academic activities that are only obtained by Dormitory students.
