Abstract

ZahrotulMaulidiyah,Theimplementationofteachingspeakingskillthrought
WhisperchinesegameattheseventhgradeofMTsRohmatulUmam in academic year 2021/2022.

Keyword:Teachingspeaking, whisperChinesegame.

Speaking is one of the english skills that must be mastered by englishlearners. However, students have low interest in learning speaking.This casehappened because the teacher used old strategy and it made the teaching processfeel bored. Therefore, the teacher chose whisper Chinese game as the strategy inteaching speaking to make student have good interest at speaking skill.So that,the researcher was interested in conducting the research at the seventh grade ofMTSRohmatul Umam Lumajang.
The research focus are : 1) How is the goal of teaching speaking skillthrough Whisper Chinese Game at the seventh grade of MTs Rohmatul UmamLumajang? 2) How is the material of teaching speaking skill through WhisperChinese Game at the seventh grade of MTs Rohmatul Umam Lumajang? 3) HowisthestepofteachingspeakingskillthroughWhisperChineseGameattheseventh grade of MTs Rohmatul Umam Lumajang? 4) How is the evaluation ofteaching speaking skill through Whisper Chinese Game at the seventh grade ofMTsRohmatul UmamLumajang?
To gain the data, the researcher conducted field research at MTs RohmatulUmam,byapplyingqualitativeresearchinthetypeofdescriptive.Indatacollectiontechniquestheresearcherusedinterview,observationanddocumentation. The data analysis used in this research was interactive analysisaccording to Tom Cho and Douglas Brown. While, for the validity of data, theresearcherused sourcetriangulation and technicaltriangulation.
The research result are: 1) The purposes of teaching speaking skill throughWhisperChineseGamewere:a)studentbecomemoreactive,b)haveenthusiasm,
c) speak spontaneously according to situation and conditions, student becomemore creative in delivering ideas. 2) The materials of teaching speaking skillthroughWhisperChineseGamewereaboutdescribingfamily,andtextstructure.
The steps of teaching speaking skill throughWhisper Chinese Gamewere a)the teacherexplain aboutWhisper Chinese Game, b) theteacher tells how to dothe Whisper Chinese Game, c) the teacher explained to student what aspect wouldbe assessed on student‟s performance, d) the teacher and students sit in a circle, e)theteacherbeginstotellaninterestinggame.4)Theevaluationofteachingspeaking skill through Whisper Chinese Game was speak up in front of the classandobservestudent attitude.
