Abstract

A spinning wheel is a wheel-shaped device that can be rotated and is divided into several sectors and contains question cards. The advantages of the rotating wheel method are that it is easy to make, interesting, teaches students enthusiasm for learning, trains students' memory and quick thinking and is not boring. This educational method can increase student efficiency, especially in mastering vocabulary. Vocabulary is a very important thing in learning Arabic. With vocabulary, students can understand the meaning of words in Arabic and translate the vocabulary and its pronunciation. The results of this scientific research were that after using the rotating wheel method, the average of the experimental group (81.29) was greater than the control group (65.81). The post-test data from the experimental group was greater than the results from the control group. This shows that the use of the rotating wheel method is effective. By testing the Mann Whitney hypothesis. Indicates the result is Asymp. signature. (2-tailed) (0.002) Less than 0.05 This indicates that the selection hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. There is a significant difference in improving vocabulary skills between the experimental group and the control group. The conclusion from the test results is that the spinning wheel method is effective in improving Arabic vocabulary of grade 7 students at MTsN 10 Jember.
