Abstract
Abstrak
As for the research problems: 1) The main problems are: To what extent do animated video media contribute to determining reading skill? 2) To what extent do video media contribute to effectively understanding animated cartoons and to what extent do they interact with the dynamic use of video media for the main content in Arabic text? Our most important research goals are: knowing the extent to which the use of video media contributes dynamically to understanding individual concepts in a sentence, and knowing the extent to which the use of video media contributes to the main integrated content in the Arabic text. In the research approach, the researcher used quantitative research and the type of experimental research, and the method of collecting data for this research was testing, observation, interview, and documentary. It was analyzed using the normality test (Uji normalitas), the independent sample t-test, and the N-Gain Score test using the statistical program for social sciences, IBM SPSS Statistic25, between the control group and the experimental group. The result of this research, which is from the post-test for the control group and the experimental group: 1) Score Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 is less than 0.05. This indicates a difference in the result in the post-test of the control group and the experimental group on the efficiency of understanding the meaning of vocabulary in a sentence. The researcher obtains a value of t in the calculation of 4.744, which is greater than the t of the table, 1.685, with a degree of meaningfulness of 0.05. The optional hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of using the animated video medium on the efficiency of understanding the meaning of the vocabulary in the sentence. The N-Gain Score for the control group is 0.3, therefore the result is adequate, and the N-Gain Score for the experimental group is 0.7, therefore the result is strong. 2) Score Sig. (2-tailed) 0 000 is less than 0.05. This indicates a difference in the results in the post-test of the control group and the experimental group on the efficiency of identifying the main content in the Arabic text. The researcher obtains a value of t in the calculation of 4.489, which is greater than the t of the table, 1.685, with a degree of meaningfulness of 0.05. The optional hypothesis is accepted, that is, there is an effect of using the animated video medium on the efficiency of identifying the main content in the Arabic text. The N-Gain Score for the control group is 0.4, therefore the result is adequate, and the N-Gain Score for the experimental group is 0.8, therefore the result is strong. The use of the animated video method to improve the reading skill on the efficiency of understanding the meaning of vocabulary in the sentence among students in the seventh grade A in the third government Islamic middle school, Jember, had a strong effect with a result of 0.7 or 71%, and the use of the animated video method to improve the reading skill on the efficiency of identifying the main content. In the Arabic text among students in the seventh grade A at the third government Islamic middle school, Jember had a strong effect, with a score of 0.8 or 87%.
